Course Overview: Digital Literacy

Many people have an overwhelming fear of all things digital. Unlike young people in New Zealand, many people from around the world, especially those from older generations, naturally reject computers and other electronic devices, and have little understanding of digital terminology. However, there is a lot of value in learning basic digital skills. 

Digital Literacy course at Canterbury College will allow you to feel comfortable while using your mobile phone and computer. You will learn how to use apps, shop online and stay connected with your family.

This English + Digital Literacy course from Canterbury College is designed for people from a migrant or refugee background. This course will help individuals gain the digital skills necessary to engage in a digital economy and improve livelihoods, as well as digital specific language needed to communicate effectively online. It will play a powerful role in helping participants connect, learn, engage with their community, and create more promising futures.
